Mobile Crane Foundation - 10 Day Course

This course has been specifically designed for new entrant plant operators who have no relevant experience or training on mobile cranes. Please note that an LGV Category C must be held prior to application for truck mounted cranes.

The course objective is to provide full training and testing for achievement of a CTA card by means of the following:

• Safety awareness
• Principal components of a crane and crane terminology
• Lifting and planning loads
• Weekly inspection and maintenance
• Automatic safe load indicators
• Setting a crane up on site, including crane erection and dismantling
• Correct use of lifting equipment
• Responsibilities of an Appointed Person
