Emerson Crane Hire – Testimonials

Jon Sartin | Sub Agent

RE: Black & Veatch Ltd | Mogden STW, Mogden Lane, Isleworth, Middx, TW7 7LR

I have nominated John Ashby and Jamie Durrant for a Safety Star Nomination. Even though the task was carried out early in the morning, the team were 100% committed from the get go. Throughout the (on site and cold!) RAMS and Lifting Plan briefing they listened and inputted. The communication between them was excellent. More importantly (as an Appointed Person): a team I would want to work with on any lift, however difficult.

Network Rail

I have used Emerson Crane Hire on numerous occasions both on London Underground and on Network Rail main line for crane works, heavy haulage and hire of portacabins. I have always found Emerson crane hire to be a reliable and committed company with employees who are dedicated, well trained and professional at all times in what ever they have delivered for me. Emerson’s management team worked very hard to insure all aspects of work are well planned and always put safety first. Eddie has a first class company in Emerson Crane Hire”

Re: Fatal Road Collision on 17. March 2004 at M25 Thurrock, Essex. I am writing to thank you for the assistance provided by your company and staff at the scene of a fatal road collision, which occurred on the M25 at Thurrock on Wednesday 17° March 2004.

As you are aware, 2 large goods vehicles had collided with one another leaving the road and overtuming into the roadside ditch, crushing the cab and trapping the driver. Due to the location of the vehicle, recovery was never going to be easy. It was made particularly difficult due to the hazardous toad being carried by the tanker and the fact that the driers was still in the cab when the vehicle was lifted.
My colleagues and I were impressed by the professionalism of your staff who carried out the recovery operation with dignity for the deceased and recognition of the need for preservation of evidence at the scene. I am sure they must have found parts of tne operation distressing, particalerly as they do not routinely carry out this type of work, but this did not appear to affect the quality of the service provided. Their precision work when lifting the tanker from the ditch impressed everyone present at the time. The whole recovery operation was protracted and I am advised that the operators retained Their composure and remained commItted to their task until both vehicles had been removed from the scene.
The operatives on site were Dave Dixon, Pau, Clancy, Steve Foster and Russell Cohen, please pass on our thanks and appreciation for their work on that very long day.
Yours Sincerely
Nicola Burston

Re Marks-&-SpencerCrane-Lift

Bovis Lend Lease Limited Marks & Spencer Plymouth Devon

Following the crane lift that Emerson Crane Hire executed at the above project on 1 August 2005, please accept my thanks for a job well done. From the perspective of working on a live store in the centre of town it made a pleasant change not to receive any negative comments from anybody about inconvenience or nuisance as a result of the works.

Please pass my thanks to the crew that worked in a professional and effective manner.

RE: MARKS & SPENCER CRANE LIFT

Following the crane lift that Emerson Crane Hire executed at the above project 17 and 18 September 2005 I would like to thank you and your staff for a job well done. This lift was critical to the project and any problems and or delays would have been a disaster. In the week leading to the lift Marks & Spencer placed a great deal of pressure on Bovis Lend Lease to minimise road closure time resulting in a number of last minute changes, your cooperation allowed us to incorporate these demands. On the night of the lifts I was impressed with the organisation and effectiveness of your site team, everything went exactly to plan.

Again, well done and thanks. Yours faithfully BOVIS LEND LEASE LTD

Dear Sir.

Rescue of a horse from a drainage ditch, Chruchill Road, Grays, Essex, 9th May 2001.

It has been brought to my attention by Inspector Bacon that Mr S Kirby and Mr J Pearce assisted in the above rescue. I understand that they arrived at the scene very fast and after a harness had been fitted they lifted the horse out of the ditch. I am glad to learn that after veterinary treatment the animal was collected by its owner.

I am pleased to advise that the Operations Committee of the Society recommends that Mr Kirby and Mr Pearce receive Certificates of Commendation for their actions.

A local representative of the Society will contact you in due course to make presentation arrangements.

Yours faithfully

Dear Sir

I am writing firstly to thank you for completing what was a very complicated job in transporting the portacabin. I would also like to add that the two gentlemen concerned, Mr Russell Cohen and Mr Dave Robertson. were quite superb They had an extremely difficult task in trying to maneuver the portacabin through our narrow gates. with the additional problem of our ditch at the side.

I truly didn t believe they would be able to negotiate the entrance but with persistence, ingenuity and above all good humour they completed the task

I can’t thank them enough as they were also so helpful throughout, even to the point of helping us level up the portacabin before they left. I wish you to convey my thanks to them.

Yours faithfully

Liam,

I have been involved with your company for several years now, dealing with a various amount of different sites and varying situations some involving builders work site, subsequently managed by Emerson project managers. Which all have been overcome at the initial survey by the site surveyors arranging Council permits, organising the correct sized crane or equipment required etc. All projects have been achieved to both my satisfaction and the clients.

In all cases Emerson’s employees have acted with a very good professional approach and worked well and had excellent knowledge and capabilities of their equipment they had supplied. I.e. HIAB Lorries, Various sized cranes and lift and shift tools even site specific items prefabricated in the yard to achieve the given project.

Not once in all this time have I ever known them to be late and the cranes always arrive in a clean tidy condition generally with the driver/operator telling you “it is a new bit of kit and you should see what it can do”.

As you can see I am a firm supporter of your company as many a time I have breathed a sigh of relief on seeing Emerson’s teams turn up on site.

We were very pleased that this historic, large but yet fragile structure was in such careful hands. They handled everything and the crane lifts at both ends were completely promptly, smoothly, safely and to it arrived without any damage, they even undertook all aspects of arranging the transportation of this exceptional load, which turned many heads; well I suppose its not every day you see a steam-age signal box coming the other way on the A130!”

Thank you for all of your help in completing the Appointed Person training course..

Just wanted to say that I enjoyed completing the training course. For a manager working in construction, I found the course very informative and well presented..  The facilities were very good and the lunch was always very nice.  You always found time to ensure that the attendees questions were answered in a way that they understood.

Thanks again with your help in getting me through it all..

Please would you pass on my appreciation to your crane driver, during yesterday’s lifting operations he was very helpful in what was a very tricky operation.
For any future lifting operations I would definitely request his services again and would go as far as to say that he is a credit to your company.
Best Regards.

Whom it concerns,

After what has been my first experience using Emerson crane hire, I would just like to commend the works that you have carried out over the recent period. I have found you to be a very user friendly company, and the operatives that come to site, James/Peter and all other team members, have been very helpful with a superb attitude and a willingness to help out, compared to previous crane companies that I have used where they have not always been so Keen.

I continue to look forward working yourselves,

Kind regards,

Pat,

Just a quick email as feedback for the lift your guys did for us on Tuesday. It all went very well. They were very efficient and they had a very positive/can do attitude and were a pleasure to work with. Shame James is leaving really.
